FREE PERSONAL SAFETY SEMINARS

‘HOW NOT TO BE A VICTIM’

In 2006 the UKWCKFA celebrated its 21st Anniversary by offering FREE seminars to the public on self defence.

On October 17th 2015 the UKWCKFA will be 30 years old and as part of our way of saying thank you for your support over the years we are again offering free self defence seminars for the students, their family and general public alike.

Most people in today’s world are very cynical and believe we must be trying to get something from it. We can assure you we are not. The self defence seminars are one off events, they are NOT martial art classes. We believe that martial arts is the last part of self defence and the least important if you wish to avoid trouble developing and stay safe.

In 2006 we offered classes only to women as we felt that was appropriate based on the enquiries we had received at the time. Now we are offering these events to ANYONE who feels that it may of interest. It would be great if whole families came along!

We will be discussing

  • Awareness, Alchohol, Avoidance
  • Car Jacking, Road Rage, Car Parks
  • Robbery, Mugging, Child Abduction
  • Rape, Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence
  • Workplace and School Bullying.

As you can see we are NOT dealing with the physical fight stage as this cannot be taught in a one off seminar, and those that lead you to believe you can are not telling the truth. we will help you with:

  • Verbal Communication and tricks
  • Eye Contact
  • Body Language
  • Posture and Gait
  • Environmental Elements
  • Escapes
  • The LAW and where YOU stand

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Some of the content you may feel is inappropriate for younger persons so please feel free to discuss anything with us before the events. We are available to try and help in any way we can. We can assure you we will approach the class in a manner appropriate to those in attendance.

There is so much more to this than we have briefly outlined above. Everybody want to have a better life, to be healthy and well educated. Personal safety is an area not dealt with well installs or household discussions. We hope we can correct that imbalance and that you will not only learn a lot but enjoy the manner of presentation.

Please not you will not simply sit down and listen you will have the chance to work with each other and make the room a discussion area.

If you are interested you must contact us, as our National HQ is quite small and we hope these events will be well attended.

We have noticed that there are a lot of views and revisits to view. May we ask, in all humility, that If you like these clips and want to keep them coming, we would be grateful if you could let us know. A simple 'like' is comparable to a courteous 'thank you' in the online world. Manners cost nothing. Another short extract from the series on Chi Sau we were presenting in our online teaching sessions. We have well over 400 1/2 hour videos, they are great and a superb resource. No hype or self promotion just discussions on the Art.Please accept this is but a small extract from a far longer discussion and can easily be taken out of context. Before you say would would do 'this or that', the other person can always have answers for anwers 'this and that' too. That is the enjoyment of training. Because this is but an extract, we will not enter into any dicussion as the points people make were often, if not always, covered in other parts of the discussion. For those interested there only a couple of weeks left to join the classes run personally by James Sinclair. However, if you are already familiar, and have trained in the Art, you would be welcome to start at any time under his guidance. James teaches in Leicester, St Neots, Bedford and at the Rayleigh Wing Chun National HQ.#chisau #wingchun #kungfu #ukwckfa #wingchunleicester #wingchunbedford #wingchunrayleigh #martialarts #wingchunstneots #stickyhands ... We are currently enrolling new students at our branches. We only take new students about twice a year. This way we can maintain progress without going over and over the same material again and again. In established classes we have three speparate classes per evening for beginners, intermediates and advanced level students. ... See MoreSee Less

Another little extract from our online Zoom sessions. Here we discuss the Tahn Sau in double Chi Sau.Is it practical who knows? However, it becomes a unique skill within the Art. The skill of application of any stylised technique is to see it under different crcumstances. If you like these extracts please 'like' it.As always this is but a short extract from a far longer discussion and the context is easy to misinterpret. We do hope you enjoy it, and take the time to 'like' as this may encourage us to release more. ... See MoreSee Less
